The Institutul de Cercetări Nucleare (ICN) is a research center dedicated to nuclear energy research, reactor development, and safety management. It supports Romania's national nuclear energy program, including operation of Cernavoda nuclear units, development of Generation IV reactors, and radioactive waste management. The center also promotes nuclear technology applications in medicine, industry, and agriculture.
